Leadership at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church of Oley Twp.

Born and Raised in the Pottstown area.  He was a graduate of Pottstown Senior High School in 1976.  He married his wife Michele, and they have two children.  He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy/Pre-theology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1980.  In 1990, he became a graduate of Lancaster Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity.  He was ordained in the United Church of Christ as Church of the Apostles UCC in Lancaster, PA in 1990.  He was called to his first pastorate position at St. Paul's UCC in Bowmansville, PA later that same year.  He served there for fifteen years.  During that time, he served in various leadership positions in the Lancaster Association and the Penn Central Conference of the UCC.

He was called to Salem United Church of Christ, Spangsville, Oley, PA in 2006.  During this time he served in various leadership positions in the East Berks Association, Covenant Association, and the Pennsylvania Southeast Conference of the UCC.  As of January 5, 2020, he began his call as pastor of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church of Oley Twp.  He is currently working with both Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church and Salem United Church of Christ in a Shared Ministry.  He has been working hard to keep our traditions throughout our services.  His strong belief in our Lord Jesus Christ shines through as he keeps with the conventional leadership of the children's sermon, alter rail communion, and Lenten services.  it is just the beginning of our journey together, but is has been a smooth transition thus far.
